Scott has served as the Director of Information Technology at Kishwaukee College since 2004 and IT Director for Lee Center CUSD #271 from 2003 until 2004. Prior to that, he was a linguist and interpreter in the U.S. Air Force (retired in September 2002).

Laura Chappell

Founder, Wireshark University and Chappell University
Laura Chappell is a highly-energetic speaker and author of numerous industry titles on network communications, analysis and security including "Wireshark Network Analysis." Nicknamed “Glenda, the Good Witch,” Laura has presented to thousands of State, Federal and international law enforcement officers, judicial members, engineers, network administrators, technicians and developers on the subject of “tapping into networks.” Ms. Chappell founded Wireshark University in cooperation with Gerald Combs, creator of Wireshark, and Chappell University to provide training curriculum focused on TCP/IP network communications and analysis. Recently hired as a Network Engineer at Kishwaukee College, he is responsible for the network infrastructure, VoIP telephone system, storage systems, and both physical and virtual servers.

Donja has worked in IT as a Sales and Marketing professional for 7 years in Wisconsin for a Managed Service Provider and reseller that concentrated on the SMB market space before relocating for many years to Florida. Worked as a National Sales Account Manager for Retail Loss Prevention until offered the position to return North and work for Unitrends as a Regional Account Manager covering the state of Illinois for the past year and a half cultivating new opportunities in the local government, educational, manufacturing, legal and financial markets.

 

Tracy Grandgeorge

Technology Coordinator, Marseilles Elementary School
Tracy is currently the Technology Coordinator at Marseilles Elementary School. She has previously taught in a gifted education program for 10 years. As a huge Apple Fan personally – she is just getting some products in the district where she is currently implementing 3 carts of devices in 3 Different classrooms. She is also anticipating a 1:1 iPad deployment before school lets out for summer.

 

Sid Haas

VP of Business Development, LKCS
Sid currently serves as LKCS’ Vice President of Business Development and is heavily involved with new product development and executive management. He has a passion for technology and oversees LKCS’ IT staff and is also responsible for the information technology infrastructure within the organization. Sid is also a member of the IVNUA Board of Directors.

 

Doc Hodges

Demo Systems Team, NetIQ/Novell/SuSE
Doc worked for IBM selling the first PCs they made. Before joining Novell in 1992, Doc did consulting with Ernst & Young and lead the End User Computing Team at Bank of America. In 19 years at Novell he's done everything from road shows to BrainShare keynotes and visited 46 countries promoting Novell solutions. He invented the online demonstration system (NODS) that has been in use for 10 years at Novell and now works with the NetIQ business. Most importantly Doc has been attending IVNUA conferences since the 90s. He holds a special appreciation for the remarkable technical and educational achievements of the IVNUA.

 

gus Hytonen

Senior Account Manager, GroupLink
Gus Hytonen joined GroupLink in 2007 and since that time he has become a Senior Account Manager specializing in help desk/service desk solutions. Gus graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's degree in Sales. Gus resides in South Weber, Utah, USA with his wife and two sons.

 

Brian Lewis

Brian Lewis works as an IT Pro Evangelist for Microsoft Corporation in the Midwest, where he focuses on the IT Pro audience in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. He is very passionate about technology and has over 18 years of enterprise IT experience. Brian enjoys working with all computer and networking technologies. He enjoys everything from programming and scripting to working with all types of infrastructure. There just isn’t a technology that isn’t interesting to him. Brian enjoys several hobbies outside of computers including rock climbing, trail biking, and swimming.

Brian received his Bachelors degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. One of Brian’s passions is computer security and he holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification among other computer industry certifications.

 

Kirsten Mclendon

Technology Coordinator, LaSalle Elementary Schools
Kirsten is the Technology Coordinator at La Salle Elementary Schools. She has previously taught various elementary levels before switching to Technology and getting her Masters in Administration. The school district was 100% PC three years ago and now are more mac than PC primarily because of iPods/iPads and the Mobile Student MacBook Labs. She began a 1:1 this year in their 6th grade.

Teri Rossman

Teri Rossman is a Educational Technology Consultant who has worked with several area schools on integrating and using technology to increase student achievement. She has worked with students of all ages from pre-school to college level and understands the advantages of adding appropriate technologies to educational settings. Teri was named the 2009 Illinois Computing Educator’s Technology Administrator of the Year and has since been helping schools in technology planning and grant writing, as well as providing professional development opportunities for teachers.
